Many people suffer from hypertension without any symptoms.
This is why high blood pressure is often called the silent killer.

What can append?

You can all of a sudden suffer a massive stroke and die! You may be prone to vascular cerebral accident. You do not want to be in a wheel chair for the rest of your life. Other organs in your body may be affected by hypertention like: kidneys, lungs and other. Better check your blood pressure regularly.

What to use.

Get one of those digital blood pressure monitors. Since these monitors are not all born equal, get one that is recommended by an independent Hypertension Association.
The manufacturers are usually very proud to mention these recommendations on their packaging. Consult your pharmacist on that matter.

Best blood pressure value.

What is the best value of blood pressure? Around 120/80 is considered a good value. If it gets in the 140/90 start to worry.

Since we are not doctors, the best recommendation that we can make is to consult your family doctor as soon as you detect high blood pressure.
One thing we are sure of is that besides prescribing high blood pressure medication, the doctor will check and make you adjust your diet and recommend a bit of exercise to help lower your blood pressure.
