Do you need food supplements?

Food supplement, weight loss and "natural" medication of all kinds are big business. Do you need any of these?
Most of then will not do any harm to your health, but will they do any good?

First, if you eat good food moderately , you will not need any supplement unless you have a big health problem.
If so, check with your doctor, he is still the most competent professional to give you advice on the subject.
Beware of anybody that gives free advice, because they are free, they may be the most expensive.
Also beware of people that became specialist in food supplement and "natural" products overnight.

Weight loss natural medication

goes the same way, unless you have a major problem, keeping a healthy weight should be fairly easy if you have good eating habits and do a bit of sport .
Forget junk and fast food, be cautious with sugar. If that does not work, consult your doctor.

Natural products

Many over the counter "natural" products are on the market to-day.
All claim to give you back your health, be it vitamin, glucosamine, omega 3.
These are the most popular and are the one your ear about every day in TV advertising.
If you think any of those would be good for you, that is OK. All these products are quite expensive in the long run and can be an important post on your budget . If you do not need them, substantial savings will be yours.

Warning

A little warning, if your doctor prescribes you drugs, then better check with him or at least with your pharmacist if there is any contra-indication with your medication.
Some prescribed medication will have warning like: do not eat grapefruit while taking this medication or do not expose yourself in the sun. The same can append with over the counter products and you may not be aware of it.
It may also affect you if you ever suffer from high blood pressure .
Remember that the most natural products are the ones that did not undergo any transformation, fruit and vegetable for example.
