Should you use credit cards?

Since diner's club (® Registered trademarks of diner's club) introduced the first credit card in the 1950, numerous others came to the market.

The most popular to-day are: Visa,( ® Registered trademarks of Visa International Service Association)

American Express.

Many consumer good store chains have their own card.
Others use the Visa or Master Card banner and have cards emitted in their color.
The major cards are honored widely around the world.It is very practical to have one or more card. It prevents you to carry substantial amount of cash.

Sort your purchases

You can use one card for anything that refers to your car, another one for buying groceries or clothing and so on.
At the end of the month, you will get your card statement and have only one check to write and have a sorted listing of your monthly purchases.

You get the right to charge your purchases to your card account up to the credit limit you were accepted for.

If you do not pay on time, you can be charged hefty amount of interest.

That is where Card Company make much of their profits, overdue balances. Companies also charge a fee to the merchants that accept credit cards.

Some credit cards, besides being free to use, carry some incentives to make you use them. As an example, you can get credit on the lease or purchase of a new car.

Some cards company will let you use you credit on any vehicle new or used.
If you travel a lot, get points on airline fares.

If you are a regular client of a certain store chain, some of them will let you earn points that you will transform in merchandise when needed if you pay with their card.

Some will even add points even if you buy in other stores with their card. Check different options and get the card that suits your way of life.

Annual fee card

Some cards have an annual fee; these will normally have additional benefits.

An example is that if you often rent cars, you may get a discount and will not have to pay for excess insurance.
As long as you pay with the card, the card company will take care of paying in case of accident.
Most people do not usually need this type of card.
